Issue:

 

Certain versions of Ion software will not link if there is a wireless “N” router 
present, unless they are updated. 

Games Affected:

 

Ion systems running 2009 & 2009.5 (from Versions 29.00 to 31.02) 
software. 

Symptoms: 

When you perform a wireless scan it will appear that there are no routers to 
link to at all, and/or your wireless device will not be able to find a network to 
connect to even though there is a functioning router available. 

Solution:

 

AMI is issuing a free patch to correct this issue. 

 

For MegaNet-connected games

: There is no need to do anything to your 

machine itself. We have already sent the patch to resolve this issue on your 
connected machines. Please see the note at the bottom of this bulletin. 

If your game is not MegaNet-connected

: You can download the patch from 

our Web site and install it on your game with a USB pen, CD, or DVD.

. This patch will update 

your game to 2009.5, V31.06. Please see the note below. 

IMPORTANT!!  

In order for this patch to enable connectivity with your wireless N router, the router must 
NOT be set to N-only mode. AMI recommends the settings listed below for the following 

devices (though mixed mode settings should work if your router doesn’t have the listed 

recommended settings):

To check what kind of wireless device is in your Megatouch system, enter Operator Setup, touch 

Diagnostics

, then 

System Info

. Look under the heading “Wireless Network” for wireless device information. 

Please consult your router’s instructions for how to switch router modes.
