Problem:

The NV RAM on the CRT-260 board is resetting or losing
memory, causing information to be lost.

Games affected:

All games using a CRT-260 board.

Symptoms:

Coin count is less than the amount of coins in the coin box
and/or the custom coin setup is reset to default settings.

Cause:

Coin information is stored in the NV RAM. If the NV RAM loses
memory, the coin count would be less than the actual coin drop
and the custom coin settings would be lost.

Solution:

Install the new CRT-267 NV RAM Adapter Board to prevent the
NV RAM from losing memory.

Installing the CRT-267 NV RAM Adapter Board

1.  Turn off the game and unplug the line cord.

 

2.  Access the CRT-260 and slide it into the service position.

 

3.  Remove the existing NV RAM from U31.

 

4.  Install the NV RAM on the new CRT-267 board, making sure that the notch in the NV RAM

aligns with the notch on the socket on the CRT-267.

 

5.  Install the new board/NV RAM assembly on the CRT-260 board at U31. Again, make sure to

align the notch on the CRT-267 with the notch in the socket at U31 (the two capacitors near
the end of the new board should sit towwards the nearest edge of the CRT-260).

 

6.  Slide the CRT-260 back into the game.

 

7.  Plug in the line cord and power up.
