Motherboard Identification
Merit Industries is currently producing two new Mega-Link
®
/TouchTunes
®
kits for use in linking two or
more MAXX™ games together or linking a MAXX™ game to a TouchTunes
®
jukebox. The two kits
contain different contents as they are for use with different versions of MAXX™ games.
KUV-108-004-02 is a Mega-Link
®
kit that includes an Ethernet card and all necessary hardware to install
in any version of MAXX™ game.
KUV-108-004-03 contains all hardware to link MAXX™ games that are equipped with the recently
released Unicorn motherboard. This kit does not include an Ethernet card, as this is included in the
Unicorn motherboard.
In order to determine which kit is required for your game, you will need to be able to identify what
motherboard is in your game. The main differences on a Unicorn motherboard are the edge card
connectors which are perpendicular to the board (face up) and the mounted Ethernet connector on the
board. Below is a visual reference to identify the Unicorn motherboard.
