Re:

Megatouch™ XL 6000 upgrade kits.

XL 6000 Kit Confusion

There are two varieties of Megatouch™ XL 6000 upgrade
kits: full upgrade, KUV-107-019-XX, and certificate upgrade
KUV-107-016-XX (where “XX” is the specific kit for your
state/locality). Make sure to read the part number on your
kit, as the kit description may not be clear.

The certificate upgrade kit is 

for upgrading distributor

inventory and units purchased since mid-September
under the certificate program only.

 It does not contain all

of the parts necessary to upgrade older games (countertop
models with serial numbers 498244 and below and cabaret
models with serial numbers 550610 and below). The full
upgrade kit contains a different type of RAM SIMM, as well
as a video RAM chip that is needed by older games.

If you install the certificate kit in an older game, it may not
power up. If your game does not power up, see your
distributor for the KUV-107-019 full upgrade kit.

XL 6000 Date and Time Setting

Before installing your Megatouch™ XL 6000 upgrade kits, it is
important that you make sure the game time and date are set to
the current time and date.

If the game time or date is earlier than the current time or date, you
may get an INVALID KEY error when you turn on the game.

If you have already experienced this problem, install the old
software, set the time and date to the current time and date and re-
install the new software.

ELO Touchscreen Calibration

After installing an XL 6000 kit in a game with an ELO touchscreen,
you must re-calibrate the touchscreen or the game will not function
properly.
