Issue:

 

Rock-Ola jukeboxes have a built-in AVC circuit in the pre-amplifier to 
normalize song volume. This automatic adjustment helps to regulate the 
volume and avoid dramatic volume shifts; however, it has been found to 
react too quickly in Rock-Ola jukeboxes built with the 70261-A pre-
amplifiers. 

Jukeboxes Affected:

 

All Rock-Ola jukeboxes using the 70261-A pre-amplifier are affected.  If the 
Rock-Ola pre-amplifier in your jukebox has the part number 70261-

1A

, this 

timing fix has already been implemented. 

Symptoms: 

The song volume fluctuates within a song. 

Solution:

 

If you notice this symptom on your Rock Star, Rock-Star Lx, Wall Rock, or 
Slimline jukebox, call your authorized Rock-Ola distributor to order a new 
microprocessor for your pre-amplifier (part number 26735301).  This new 
chip is being offered at no charge for 120 days, and it will modify the 
automatic volume control timing to reduce volume fluctuations during song 
playback.
