Issue:

 

Due to rapid growth of the AMI music library, now over 300,000 songs, 
the music library will soon outgrow Merit's older Force machines running 
software prior to version 21.50. 

Games affected:

 

Only Force games running version 21.00 to 21.07 and linking to an AMI-
powered jukebox are affected.  Ion games are unaffected. 

Symptoms:

 

Because the music library has not yet reached the full capacity for Force 
games, there are currently no issues.  However, since the music library 
is constantly being updated, failure to install the enclosed update could 
result in the game rebooting every time it tries to update the music 
library. 

Solution:

 

To fix the possible issue, Merit is sending free Force software updates to 
affected customers.  This latest version of Force 2006.5 software 
(version 21.50), improves the music library compression to 
accommodate AMI’s ever-expanding music library and eliminate any 
possible problems. 

 

If you are already running version 21.50 or later, you do not need to take 
any action. However, if you have a Force game running an earlier 
version of 2006.5 software, and are connecting it to an AMI-powered 
jukebox, you will need to install the provided update. 

To determine what version of software your game is running, push the set-up button inside the cabinet.  
The program information will be displayed in the lower left corner of the first screen that appears.  
Following the “PG3002” will be the version number running on your game.
