Solution:

 

The 6 amp circuit breaker 

must

 be replaced with the 2 amp circuit 

breaker in order to avoid a potential hazard.  Distributors who received 
games with serial numbers in the ranges listed above will receive 
replacement 2 amp circuit breakers.  Distributors should return the 
original circuit breaker along with the serial number of the game it was 
removed from to Merit Industries.  If you have one of the games listed in 
the serial number range, please contact your distributor for your 
replacement circuit breaker. 

 
 

 

Follow the instructions on the reverse side of this field bulletin to check 
the rating of the circuit breaker and if necessary, to replace the circuit 
breaker in the game.

Circuit Breaker Installation Instructions 

1.  Turn off the game and disconnect it from its power source. 
2.  Unlock and open the rear door of the game. 
3.  Locate the circuit breaker connected to the inside of the power entry assembly.  Check the color 

of the label on the circuit breaker.  If the label is blue, the circuit breaker is 2 amps.  If the circuit 
breaker label is white you will have to read the label to determine the rating of the circuit breaker.  
If this cannot be seen with the circuit breaker still in the game, or if the circuit breaker is 6 amps, 
follow the steps below to remove the circuit breaker. 

4.  Using a 9/16” socket wrench, unscrew the washer securing the circuit breaker on the outside of 

the power entry assembly found in the rear of the game (see Figure 1). 

5.  Unplug the 2 connectors to the circuit breaker and remove the circuit breaker from the game. 
6.  The label on the circuit breaker will either have “2A” or a “6A” written on it.  If the label is a 6A, 

you must replace the circuit breaker with the supplied 2A circuit breaker.  If the circuit breaker is 
2A, it can be reinstalled in the game (see Figure 2). 

7.  Reconnect the 2 connectors to the 2A circuit breaker and replace the circuit breaker in the cutout 

in the power entry assembly. 

8.  Secure the circuit breaker with the washer removed in step 4. 
9.  Close and lock the rear door.
